Yoh has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Marketing Operations Specialist to join our global digital media and entertainment client. This role will support the development, testing, and execution of transactional customer communications across email and in-app channels, including pricing updates, billing notifications, subscription changes, terms-of-service updates, and other critical customer messages.

The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience in marketing operations, technical marketing, lifecycle marketing, or product marketing. Strong hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, server-side JavaScript, content management systems, quality assurance testing, and cross-functional project execution is essential.

Title: Senior Specialist, Marketing Operations
Compensation: $40-54/hr, depending on experience
Type: 1 Year Contract, with potential to extend or convert

Key Responsibilities

• Build, configure, test, and manage transactional communication templates across email and in-app channels.
• Support customer communications related to pricing changes, billing failures, subscription updates, account activity, terms of service, and other critical notifications.
• Use HTML, CSS, and server-side scripting to develop and maintain responsive communication templates.
• Partner with marketing, product, engineering, legal, operations, and customer experience teams to execute communication plans.
• Translate business and regulatory requirements into accurate, functional customer communications.
• Conduct thorough quality assurance testing across devices, platforms, customer segments, and communication channels.
• Set up and execute tests designed to improve engagement, delivery performance, and other key performance indicators.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve template, content, data, and delivery issues.
• Analyze campaign and communication performance data and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Manage project timelines, dependencies, approvals, and deliverables across multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Maintain a detailed communications calendar to ensure messages are delivered accurately and on schedule.
• Document processes, template requirements, testing procedures, and platform configurations.
• Quickly learn and operate within proprietary content management and marketing technology systems.
• Ensure customer communications comply with applicable legal, regulatory, privacy, and brand requirements.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging best practices in transactional messaging, lifecycle communications, and marketing technology.

Basic Qualifications

• Four or more years of experience in marketing operations, technical marketing, product marketing, lifecycle marketing, CRM operations, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience working with HTML and CSS.
• Experience with server-side JavaScript or similar scripting technologies.
• Experience building, testing, or managing email and in-app communication templates.
• Familiarity with content management systems, marketing automation platforms, or customer communication tools.
• Strong quality assurance skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues and work effectively with engineering or technical teams.
• Experience managing multiple projects, timelines, approvals, and cross-functional dependencies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn proprietary systems and new technologies quickly.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive and legally required deliverables.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting a subscription-based digital product, streaming platform, media company, or consumer technology organization.
• Experience managing transactional, lifecycle, billing, or service-related customer communications.
• Familiarity with email rendering, responsive design, personalization, segmentation, and dynamic content.
• Experience conducting A/B testing or other structured communication experiments.
• Understanding of customer data flows, campaign triggers, APIs, and marketing technology integrations.
• Experience working with legal, privacy, compliance, or regulatory stakeholders.
• Familiarity with high-volume customer communication environments.
