Help Desk at Harrisburg, PA

This is an operational, 100% phone-based role focused strictly on Tier 1 password resets, application support, and technical customer service. Reliability, communication, and human relations skills are paramount. Role Overview Job Title: Tier 1 Help Desk Location: Harrisburg, PA Schedule: On-site Monday Thursday; Remote every Friday. Hours: 40 hours/week. Note: 4-hour Saturday shifts (8:00 AM 12:00 PM) occur once per quarter with 2 weeks' notice. Interview Process: One-hour, mandatory in-person interview. Key Responsibilities Provide 100% phone-based Tier 1 technical support, password resets, and basic application troubleshooting. Reset or restore mainframe, LAN, and User IDs/passwords using RACF or Active Directory . Document, log, and elevate complex issues using Remedy ticketing software to Tier 2 teams or third-party vendors. Guide technical and non-technical end-users through basic diagnostic and troubleshooting procedures. Required Qualifications & Skills Education: 2-year associate degree or equivalent technical study. Experience: 1+ years of field experience in an IT Service Desk and/or Call Center environment. Ticketing Systems: 1+ years using call tracking and service management software. Operating Systems & Software: 1+ years supporting Windows 7, Office 365 (permissions, delegation, calendar sharing), and network settings. Directory Tools: 1+ years executing basic User and Security Group Active Directory administration.
