MIG Welder
New Albany, IN | Temp-to- Hire | Pay Based on Experience
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

BESTAFF is hiring an experienced MIG Welder for a great family-owned company in New Albany, IN. This is a machine shop environment where quality work gets noticed and your skills are valued. You'll work a steady daytime schedule — home every evening and every weekend — with pay that reflects the experience you bring. What You'll Do
- Perform MIG welding on fabricated parts and assemblies to exact specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to set up each job
- Measure, lay out, and fit parts using tape measures, calipers, and squares
- Inspect your finished welds for quality, accuracy, and appearance
- Grind, clean, and prep materials before and after welding
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe in a machine shop setting
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
What You Bring
- 2–5 years of hands-on MIG welding experience
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Strong measuring skills and attention to detail
- Experience working in a machine shop or fabrication environment preferred
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
