Bar Supervisor

We are dedicated to creating unforgettable guest experiences and are seeking a dependable and motivated Bar Supervisor (Event Lead) to serve as the on‑site leader for all bar operations during events. This is a hands‑on, event‑day leadership role. The Bar Supervisor is responsible for leading the bar team during events, ensuring flawless execution, exceptional guest service, and consistent quality standards. This position does not include pre‑event administrative duties such as ordering, scheduling, or inventory purchasing. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, integrity, and professionalism, and can be trusted to lead staff, represent the venue, and make sound decisions in a fast‑paced event environment. RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and oversee all bar staff during assigned events at Chateau Nouvelle and Sandlewood Manor Serve as the on‑site point of contact for all bar‑related questions, needs, and concerns for clients, guests, and internal teams Arrive prior to events to coordinate and complete bar setup, layout, and readiness according to event plans and venue standards Conduct pre‑shift team huddles and clearly communicate event details, timelines, service expectations, and assigned positions Actively work the event alongside the bar team while supervising service flow, staffing coverage, and guest experience Ensure consistent quality control for beverages, presentation, service standards, and responsible alcohol service Maintain a professional, organized, and efficient bar operation throughout the event Monitor bar areas for cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations Address and resolve guest or client concerns related to bar service promptly and professionally, escalating when needed Support and guide staff performance in real time through coaching, direction, and problem‑solving Ensure accurate use of bar equipment, POS systems (if applicable), and venue procedures during events Communicate clearly with event management, coordinators, and venue leadership to ensure seamless service execution Secure and properly close down bar areas at the end of each event, ensuring all equipment, supplies, and spaces are left in proper condition Uphold venue policies, service standards, and company values at all times Demonstrate strong integrity and accountability when handling cash, product, equipment, and staff oversight Represent the bar department and the venues with professionalism and confidence during all events QUALIFICATIONS 2+ years of experience in bartending or bar leadership, preferably in weddings, events, or high‑volume hospitality Previous experience leading or supervising a bar team during live service is strongly preferred Demonstrated integrity, reliability, and trustworthiness Strong leadership presence with the ability to direct and motivate a team in a fast‑paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm, organized, and solution‑focused during high‑pressure situations Strong understanding of quality beverage service and responsible alcohol service practices Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with a luxury event environment Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule BENEFITS Primarily evenings and weekends Must be dependable and adaptable 1099 contract position Evenings and Weekends required $40 hourly compensation Chateau Nouvelle and Sandlewood Manor are equal opportunity employers committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
