As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $33.70 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeSat07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Sun08:00 AM - 04:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at government transportation locations. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and report suspicious persons, vehicles, or conditions to appropriate personnel. Carry assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, training, and site-specific policies, using sound judgment and professional conduct. Minimum Requirements: Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit. Possess a New York State Security Guard License. Have at least 6 months of security-related experience. Possess an Armed Guard Card or License. Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience. Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
