Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs, establish therapeutic relationships, and determine appropriate interventions.

• Facilitate effective communication with supervisors, families, and other stakeholders regarding client progress and therapeutic goals.

• Develop and maintain a tentative schedule for client appointments, home visits, and monitoring activities, ensuring consistency and follow-up on treatment plans.
\n
• Coordinate home visits to better understand client environments and comprehensively assess their needs through observations and chart reviews.
\n
• Ensure that the implementation of treatment plans is consistent, thorough, and directly contributes to improved mental health outcomes.
\n
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, sharing insights and collaborating on comprehensive care for clients.
\n
• Prepare and document monthly and quarterly progress notes to track client development and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
\n
• Organize and lead training sessions for other staff members to enhance their competency in implementing program plans and proper documentation.
\n
• Conduct follow-up interviews and observations to ensure continuous support for clients post-therapy.
\n
• Act as a liaison within the mental health community, advocating for clients and assisting them in achieving their therapeutic goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Telehealth Licensed Professional Counselor will serve a varied client base, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing challenges in areas such as trauma, substance misuse, and relationship issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field, with a strong emphasis on clinical practices.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia.

• A minimum of 2 years of professional counseling experience, preferably within a clinical setting.

• Demonstrated proficiency in therapeutic modalities, with an emphasis on family therapy, couples counseling, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse treatments.

• Strong understanding of legal and ethical guidelines surrounding counseling practice.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating the development of trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team to optimize client outcomes.

• Competence in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and other telehealth technologies relevant to counseling practices.

Preferred Experience\n

• Specializations in trauma therapy, substance use disorders, or family dynamics are highly preferred.

• Experience with personalizing therapy methods based on individual client assessments.

• Prior involvement in creating or conducting staff training workshops is a plus.
