Senior Accountant

Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their client's team in Modesto. This pivotal role requires an individual with a strong grasp of complex accounting functions and the ability to ensure accurate financial reporting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining robust internal controls and supporting regulatory compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in overseeing complex accounting functions to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain strong internal controls and support regulatory compliance requirements.
• Lead key aspects of the monthly close process and perform advanced reconciliations.
• Support audits and regulatory reporting to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
• Provide guidance to accounting staff and ensure accounting activities are performed in accordance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
• Report to the Accounting Manager and provide support to the CFO, Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, and other departments to complete projects and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior accounting role, with a strong understanding of GAAP.
• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lead and mentor accounting staff effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various departments.
• Experience with regulatory reporting and audits.

Required Work Hours

Monday through Friday, first shift.
