Registered Nurse (RN) - Senior Care & Clinical Quality Focus

Location: Kansas City, MO (On-Site)

Position Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (No nights, weekends, or major holidays)

Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000 / year + Quality-Based Bonus

About the Role

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse looking to step away from bedside shifts and make a meaningful impact in a outpatient setting? We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join a leading value-based senior primary care practice in Kansas City.

This hybrid clinical role bridges direct patient engagement with clinical quality leadership. You will manage phone/in-person triage, direct care, and chronic condition management while working closely with Providers and Center Leadership to oversee back-office standards, clinical audits, and staff mentoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care & Triage: Perform daily nursing activities, including phone and in-person triage, chronic condition management, and personalized health education for senior patients and family caregivers.

• Clinical Quality & Workflow Leadership: Partner with Center Managers and Providers to identify quality improvement opportunities, establish standardized workflows, and monitor back-office clinical performance.

• Compliance & Audit Prep: Oversee quality and safety monitoring to ensure clinic alignment with state regulations, scope of practice rules, and national healthcare compliance standards. Assist with internal/external audit preparation.

• Staff Training & Mentorship: Train, evaluate, and mentor medical assistants, phlebotomists, and back-office personnel on clinical competencies, patient safety protocols, and infection control.

• Patient & Family Education: Serve as a key clinical resource, providing guidance on preventive health, disease management, and wellness strategies tailored to the senior population.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

• Licensure & Certifications: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri (or compact state) + active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of recent direct clinical nursing experience.

  • Ideal backgrounds: Outpatient Primary Care, Internal Medicine, FQHCs, Home Health, or bedside hospital RNs (Med-Surg, Telemetry, Observation) seeking a predictable ambulatory schedule.

• Clinical Skills: Strong foundation in outpatient triage, clinical operations, patient safety, and value-based care principles.

• Leadership & Tech Literacy: Proven ability to mentor back-office medical staff, high emotional intelligence, and proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working specifically with senior adults or Medicare Advantage populations.

• Bilingual fluency (Spanish or other local community languages) is a plus.
