Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based techniques tailored to the unique needs of each client.

• Provide in-depth therapeutic services focusing on anger management, coping strategies, social skills development, and reduction of high-risk behaviors.

• Engage with clients in their home environments when necessary, assessing and addressing familial interactions and dynamics.
\n
• Document all client interactions comprehensively, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes within mandated timelines.

• Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team, ensuring that all interventions are coordinated and integrated effectively.

• Attend monthly team meetings to share insights, discuss cases, and provide feedback for the ongoing improvement of service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and teens aged 3 to 20 who are experiencing developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. This role requires a deep understanding of the complexities these young individuals face and a commitment to fostering a safe and supportive therapeutic environment. You will assist families by enhancing their skills to manage in-home challenges and improving overall family dynamics.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is mandatory to practice.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4 PM to 7 PM), along with weekend availability being a plus.

• Experience providing positive behavior support and intervention strategies is essential.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for potential in-home visits.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required before starting.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
