Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the state with current certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or community setting preferred
• Demonstrated ability and current training in tracheostomy and ventilator care is essential
• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• Collaborative attitude for working with educational and healthcare teams

Primary Duties:

• Deliver focused 1:1 nursing services for a student requiring trach and vent care, ensuring safety throughout the school day
• Support the student in academic and non-academic settings, monitoring for health changes and responding promptly to needs
• Create individualized nursing care plans and maintain comprehensive records
• Train and consult with school staff as appropriate regarding student-specific care protocols
• Maintain clear, compassionate communication with educators, administrators, and caregivers
