Sponsored Projects Accounting Manager

Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Sponsored Projects Financial Operations, the full-time remote Sponsored Projects Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting and reporting operations, ensuring compliance with award terms and regulations while providing leadership and support to the financial analysts team. Key Responsibilities: Direct day-to-day accounting and reporting operations, including sponsor billing and financial reporting Provide operational leadership and oversight for the SPFO Financial Analysts team, enhancing workflow efficiency and staff development Maintain hands-on expertise through direct management of complex sponsored awards, supporting quality assurance and audit readiness Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field Five to seven years of relevant experience in sponsored projects accounting or financial reporting Strong understanding of Federal regulations and compliance requirements related to sponsored projects Leadership and team management skills with a proven ability to train and develop staff Knowledge of OMB Uniform Guidance and complex accounting systems, preferably WorkDay
