HOSPICE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? Traditional Hospice is extending an invitation to compassionate individuals to join our team as Hospice Volunteers.

As a Hospice Volunteer you will:

• Provide companionship and emotional support to patients in their final stages of life.
• Offer comfort to families and caregivers during difficult times.
• Assist with non-medical tasks to improve the quality of life for patients.

A volunteer visit looks like a conversation over a cup of coffee, holding a patient's hand to provide comfort, listening to a patient's life experiences, reading to or playing music for a patient, watching a movie together or playing cards/games with a patient.

Volunteers do not perform any hands-on care but provide our hospice patients with increased socialization/companionship. Volunteers can also provide respite for family members to attend to important needs such as going to their own medical appointments, grocery shopping, or simply to have a much needed break.

Driving to and from the patient's residence is necessary for this volunteer opportunity, and mileage reimbursement is available.
