Job Summary (List Format): Family Medicine Medical Assistant - Seattle, WA


- Position Type: Temp-to-hire opportunity (potential for permanent placement if a good fit)
- Location: Seattle, WA (open to both local and non-local candidates)
- Schedule:
- 4 shifts/week: 9.5 hours each (Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri; 07:45-17:00)
- 1 shift/week: 4 hours (Tue; 08:30-12:30)
- Weekends off
- Experience Required: Minimum 6 months as a Medical Assistant (MA) in adult/pediatric outpatient or family medicine clinic setting
- Certification/Licensure:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- Washington State MA license required (MA-C preferred, MA-R accepted; MA-P and MA-HT not eligible)
- Key Responsibilities/Skills:
- Obtain and record vital signs (height/weight, 12 lead EKG/ECG, pulse oximetry)
- Prepare for exams (record patient history, medications, allergies)
- Assist with procedures (e.g., Pap smear)
- Administer injections (immunizations-including pediatric-and intramuscular)
- Collect, label, and process specimens
- Administer medications per protocols
- Use professional skills and knowledge in daily tasks
- Charting System: EPIC (experience required)
- Other Requirements:
- No weekends or on-call duties
- No floating to other locations; work at the same clinic every day
- First-time travel/contract candidates accepted
- Parking and scrub color/attire to be determined
- Facility Type: Family Medicine Clinic
- Temp-to-hire Details: Multiple permanent FTEs open; successful candidates may be offered a permanent position at end of contract
