The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of our company's accounting functions. This includes maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger, as well as preparing and analyzing budgets. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in our organization's growth and success.Competitive Base Salary Annual Bonus Great 401K Match Excellent Benefits 5+ weeks PTO Industry leading company who is growing & so much moreJob DetailsResponsibilities: As an Accounting Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:Overseeing and managing the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxesCoordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report variancesPreparing and publishing timely monthly financial statementsCoordinating the preparation of regulatory reportingResearching technical accounting issues for complianceSupporting month-end and year-end close processEnsuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reportingDeveloping and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controlsLiaising with our auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintainedManaging and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filingsManaging and mentoring members of the accounting teamQualifications: The ideal candidate for the Accounting Manager role will have:A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CMA, CPA) is a plus.A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the industrial or manufacturing sector.Proven experience as a financial controller, accounting supervisor, or a similar role.Solid experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like FreshBooks and QuickBooks.Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.An understanding of the engineering industry and its financial regulations.We are looking for a dedicated professional who is ready to take their career to the next level in a rewarding and challenging environment.
