Sr. Network Administrator

Network AdministratorThis position is responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring and managing the local and wide area networks of the organization and ensuring maximum uptime of network connectivity for users. Other responsibilities for the role can include designing system configurations, documenting and managing the installation of a new network, and maintaining and upgrading existing systems as necessary. This role will also provide third level support to staff and the IT department to ensure efficient operations. A can-do attitude, deep knowledge of networks and a natural ability to drive towards results will be key to success in this role.Full-time, on-site at our Westminster Administrative office in St Paul, MNMajor Duties and ResponsibilitiesAdministration and maintenance of network systems.Administer network equipment such as switches, routers, firewalls.Administer the storage environment.Assist with network security equipment.Apply updates, hotfixes and patching of network equipment and infrastructure as neededEngage in projects, as needed, to facilitate network connectivityMay act as a project manager as needed for network infrastructure related projects.Engages with vendors for acquisition of network devices, support and/or new telecommunication servicesAssist with design and architecture of network infrastructureWork on assigned infrastructure projects with guidance from managementProvide updates to management on projects and ticket status.Troubleshoot network system issues.Work independently on assigned third level help ticket to meet SLA agreement with staffTroubleshoot and correct network system errors or issues.Ensure high availability and recovery of mission critical systems.Monitor all network equipment to ensure high availability and peak performance of critical network systems.Ensure and validate backups of network systems in case recovery is needed.Research, design and implement new network systems.Research new network technology to enhance network infrastructure with minimal supervision.Work closely with designing and implementation of new network systems.Other DutiesComply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets ControlExhibit Blaze's Core Value's: Better Lives, Thoughtfully Compassionate, Minnesota's Best, and Give BackRegular and predictable attendancePerform other duties as assigned to support effective department operationRequirementsExperience/Education/Certifications/LicensesMinimum High School degree or equivalentMinimum 5 years network infrastructure, datacenters, wide/local areaCCNA, CompTIA Network+ or other industry related certifications preferredDemonstrated KnowledgeMicrosoft Active Directory, Group Policies and network servicesExperience working with Firewalls, Routers and SwitchesExperience with Zero Trust Networking solutionsProject management skills such as prioritizing tasks and work in accordance with Blaze policies and procedures Disaster recovery and business continuity plans a plusAbility to:Grasp complex tasks and processes and chart the best course of actionCommunicate clearly with Blaze staff and outside vendersTroubleshoot problems and develop solutions with a degree of creativityMaintain confidentiality of information stored on the networkBe part of an on-call rotation assisting in troubleshooting and resolving issues after-hours, weekends, and holidaysAnalyze and learn new technologies quicklyManage time and follow processesStrong documentation skillsCommunication SkillsAbility to interact/respond to members/staff politely based on a general'script'; written communications are templatedPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit and stand; answer calls; operate computer; interact with internal staff and public on the phone; travel to designated offices; lift up to 20 lbs.Diversity creates a healthier atmosphere, and we encourage diverse applicant depth and breadth. Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on your experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity considerations. The salary range for this position is: $78,490.65- $117,735.97/annually. This range reflects the base salary for this position. We have other benefits associated with this position which include: low-cost medical (as low as $20 a paycheck), dental insurance, vision insurance, quarterly bonuses, generous vacation and sick time hours, paid leave options, up to 6% 401k contribution, and tuition reimbursement.
