Legal Assistant

Summary:We've partnered with a premier law firm in the greater Milwaukee area to hire a Legal Assistant! The Legal Assistant will support a busy and collaborative legal team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in litigation. This position will operate onsite, full-time Monday-Friday between 8am-5pm. Pay is based on experience, and competitive benefits are offered. Apply now!

Responsibilities:Prepare, format, file and serve legal documents including briefs, motions, pleadings, and discovery materials

Electronically file court documents and ensure compliance with court rules and filing requirements

Coordinate subpoenas and work with process servers as needed

Manage litigation calendars, court dates, deadlines, and related case activities

Monitor active case files and proactively identify upcoming attorney needs

Draft and prepare professional correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents

Communicate professionally with clients, courts, attorneys, and internal staff

Maintain accurate case records and ensure timely completion of litigation support tasks

Qualifications:3+ years of legal support experience, emphasis on litigation required

Experience with pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and e-filing

Familiarity with court procedures and county court systems

Strong communication, organization, and proofreading skills

Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities

Experience with document management/docketing system preferred

65+ wpm typing speed

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
