Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care within the Cardiac Cath Lab, focusing on diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. Performs advanced patient monitoring and procedural support to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with physicians to prepare patients for diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and procedural parameters during cath lab procedures, including left and right heart catheterizations.
• Administer procedural sedation and ensure patient safety throughout interventions.
• Manage and interpret dysrhythmias, providing appropriate responses in a timely manner.
• Document all procedural data accurately in the EMR system and adhere to safety and compliance standards.
• Maintain certification and licensure requirements, including submission of RTO requests and compliance with travel policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid NY State Nursing License or submit application with submission date provided.
• Possess 2+ years recent experience in a Diagnostic or Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Certified in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Demonstrate ability to perform complex cardiac procedures, including left and right heart catheterizations.
• Exhibit strong critical-thinking skills and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
