Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Monitor patients on telemetry, perform assessments, administer medications as ordered, and document findings accurately.
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines while using clinical judgment and critical thinking.
• Maintain patient safety and apply infection control practices; participate in handoffs and care planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams; collaborate with physicians, case management, and ancillary services to optimize outcomes.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements relevant to the unit and the setting.

Requirements

• Ability to perform nursing duties on a nights-based, 12-hour shift in a telemetry-focused environment.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and independent decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork across discipline lines to coordinate patient care.
• Comfortable supervising nursing staff at varying levels and coordinating care with other clinical professionals.
• Ability to document care and outcomes clearly and accurately in the electronic health record.
