Description

• Thoroughly evaluate patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using established assessments and observational analysis.
• Create tailored treatment plans that cater to both immediate objectives and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to design cohesive approaches to patient care.
• Facilitate educational opportunities for patients and families to maintain progress beyond clinical settings.
• Conduct periodic inpatient evaluations and therapies as needed, ensuring seamless transitions in the continuum of care.
• Maintain diligent and timely documentation in adherence to state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Keep abreast of advancements in the field through continuing education and peer engagement.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
