Senior Accountant

Work Model:- Hybrid
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning activities
- Lead account reconciliations, month-end and year-end close processes, and financial analysis
- Oversee payroll-related accounting activities, including benefits, retirement plans, and incentive compensation programs
- Prepare regulatory and statutory reporting and ensure compliance with applicable requirements
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support financial and operational objectives
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, automate workflows, and enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency
- Assist with audits, internal controls, and other accounting projects as needed
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, payroll, employee benefits, and retirement plan accounting
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting, ERP, and payroll/HRIS systems
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, solve problems, and improve processes while using strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
- CPA and/or MBA preferred
- Insurance industry and/or public accounting experience preferred
- Experience regulatory or statutory reporting, leveraging automation, AI tools, reporting technologies, or process improvement initiatives preferred
