Customer Service Specialist - On-site

We are currently seeking a Customer Service Specialist for our Shields Manufacturing facility in Tualatin Oregon. (On-site position). Job Summary The Customer Service Representative serves as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries and resolving complaints to ensure a positive customer experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a service-oriented mindset to effectively assist customers across multiple channels. Supervisory Responsibilities None Key Responsibilities Engage with customers via phone, email, online chat, or in person to provide support and product information Process and enter customer orders for new or additional products and services Address customer questions and concerns, escalating complex issues to the appropriate specialist or department Ensure timely resolution of customer problems and inquiries Maintain customer accounts and interaction records, documenting inquiries, complaints, and comments Perform additional related duties as assigned Required Skills & Qualifications Excel - Advanced skills required - V-Look-Up, Concatenate, Pivot Tables MRP/ERP experience strongly preferred Able to pivot quickly to address immediate needs and then able to pivot back to original tasks Strong communication skills, including active listening Service-oriented approach with the ability to resolve customer grievances Proficiency in computer skills, with the ability to quickly learn new software Data entry accuracy is incredibly important Excellent time management and efficiency in task completion Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Previous customer service experience required Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed Benefits A highly competitive total compensation package Medical Dental Vision Life Disability Insurance (STD and LTD) 401(k) with company matchA generous paid time off schedule Discretionary quarterly bonus program Affirmative Action/EEO Statement We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
