Pharma Logistics Specialist

Location: 100% Onsite - South San Francisco, CA (no negotiable)
Employment Type: 1-Year W-2 Contract | Full-Time | No C2C
Pay Rate: $20–$30/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Role Overview

BEPC is seeking a detail-oriented Pharma Logistics Specialist to support a client's regulated logistics and warehouse operations. This position plays an important role in the end-to-end movement of hazardous materials, R&D materials, clinical drug products, finished goods, work-in-process (WIP) inventory, and packaging components.

The successful candidate will support shipping, receiving, inventory control, clinical product distribution, and documentation while following applicable SOPs, regulatory requirements, safety standards, and quality procedures.

This is a 100% onsite position because the essential responsibilities require direct handling of materials, inventory, equipment, and controlled storage areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Process shipments involving hazardous materials, R&D materials, and product samples.
• Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including required shipping documentation and proper packaging.
• Receive and dispense finished goods, WIP inventory, and packaging components to and from manufacturing facilities.
• Pick, pack, and ship clinical finished drug products to domestic and international destinations.
• Process rejected, returned, and expired drug products for destruction.
• Coordinate and schedule product destruction activities with approved destruction sites.
• Maintain accurate drug product inventory within the inventory control system.
• Conduct physical inventory cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
• Access internal systems, databases, and RF scanners while ensuring accurate data entry and documentation.
• File and retain documentation in accordance with corporate retention requirements.
• Safely operate applicable warehouse and material-handling equipment.
• Maintain warehouse equipment and work areas in a clean, organized, safe, and compliant condition.
• Develop proficiency in applicable SOPs and perform assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Recommend appropriate SOP updates or improvements as needed.
• Assist with training and onboarding new team members.
• Follow applicable hazardous-material handling and workplace safety requirements.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–5 years of relevant logistics, warehouse, inventory, shipping/receiving, or related experience.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory systems, and inventory control concepts.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately complete documentation and inventory transactions.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to meet applicable TSA requirements, including successful completion of a background check.
• Ability to complete requirements associated with the Certified Cargo Screening Program (CCSP).
• Ability to work occasional overtime when required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred:

• IATA certification.
• Experience preparing international shipping documentation.
• Experience handling hazardous materials.
• Pharmaceutical, clinical supply, life sciences, or other regulated warehouse/logistics experience.
• Experience operating warehouse material-handling equipment.
• Experience using RF scanners and computerized inventory systems.

Contract Details

• Contract Length: 1 year, with potential extension based on performance and budget.
• Employment: W-2 contract; no C2C.
• Pay Rate: $20–$30/hour.
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• Work Arrangement: 100% onsite.

Physical presence onsite is required to perform essential responsibilities, including handling, picking, packing, and shipping materials and drug products; receiving goods; completing inventory transactions; operating material-handling equipment; accessing controlled storage areas; conducting physical inventory counts; handling hazardous materials; coordinating product destruction activities; and maintaining warehouse equipment and work areas.
