Position Summary
A growing Florida family-law firm is seeking a Family Law Attorney to join its Orlando office. This position manages divorce and family-law matters throughout the full case lifecycle while providing timely communication, sound legal guidance, and strong client representation.
Responsibilities
- Manage an assigned caseload from intake and pleadings through mediation, hearings, trial, and final judgment.
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement documents, and proposed orders.
- Represent clients at hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
- Develop case strategy and maintain accurate documentation within the case-management system.
- Direct paralegal work and ensure deadlines, hearings, and required filings are properly calendared.
- Maintain consistent client communication and meet established legal, ethical, and productivity standards.
- Travel for proceedings when required.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted membership in The Florida Bar.
- Florida family-law litigation experience.
- Strong legal writing, negotiation, courtroom, and client-management skills.
- Ability to manage a full caseload and competing deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for proceedings.
Three or more years of family-law experience, trial experience, and familiarity with Rocket Matter or a comparable case-management system are preferred.
