A long‑established leader in global food distribution is seeking a detail‑oriented Accounting Clerk to join its growing finance team. In this role, you’ll support daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and help ensure smooth, efficient business processes across a fast‑paced distribution network. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, values precision, and is looking to grow within a stable, international organization.

Work Environment

This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment as part of a Japanese-based company. You will collaborate with team members located outside of the country and work closely with sales professionals from Japan. This role requires adaptability to different cultures and practices, and offers a chance to gain international business experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in accounting
• Experience with ERP systems
• Ability to process invoices, post payments, communicate with vendors, and understand debits and credits

Accounts Payable Processing — Enter vendor invoices, match POs, verify pricing, prepare check runs, and follow up on missing documentation.

Accounts Receivable Support — Generate customer invoices, apply payments, prepare deposit batches, and assist with routine collections outreach.

Administrative Support — Provide general office support including answering phones, greeting visitors, sorting mail, and maintaining office supplies.

Document Management — Scan, file, and organize accounting documents; maintain digital folders; ensure records are audit‑ready.

Data Entry & System Updates — Input financial data into ERP/accounting systems with a high level of accuracy.

Vendor & Customer Communication — Respond to inquiries, send statements, request missing paperwork, and route questions to the appropriate team members.

Invoice Processing — Help verify receiving documents, match packing slips to invoices, and communicate discrepancies to warehouse staff.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Santa Fe Springs, CA.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Santa Fe Springs,CA.
