Registered Respiratory Therapist in Endicott, NY

Exciting opportunity for an experienced professional specializing in respiratory care. This contract role offers hands-on involvement in a collaborative healthcare setting, emphasizing advanced critical care for a diverse patient population.


Schedule/Hours:

• Night shift
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week assignment

Key Qualifications:

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
• Valid New York State license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist
• Active certifications in BLS and ACLS
• Demonstrated experience in critical care and NICU settings
• Proficient with V60 BiPAP and Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators
• Skilled in using EPIC electronic medical records
• Ability and readiness to participate in external patient transports

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality respiratory therapy to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients, including those requiring intensive care
• Operate and troubleshoot specialized equipment such as V60 BiPAP and Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators
• Monitor, assess, and document patient respiratory status using EPIC
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other interdisciplinary team members to develop tailored care plans
• Participate in external transports of patients, ensuring safety and continuity of care during transfers
• Adhere to healthcare protocols, safety standards, and best-practice guidelines in all clinical interactions
