Human Resources & Employee Management
Manage all HR functions for multiple operating companies and divisions
Oversee recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and employee retention
Maintain employee files, records, and HR documentation
Handle employee relations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution professionally
Coordinate employee benefits, payroll communication, PTO tracking, and policy administration
Develop and maintain employee handbooks, policies, and procedures
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws
Assist management with workforce planning and staffing needs
Manage DOT compliance programs for commercial drivers
Coordinate pre-employment, random, post-accident, return-to-duty, and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing
Maintain driver qualification files and DOT records
Monitor CDL requirements, medical cards, MVRs, and expiration tracking
Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and company safety policies
Assist with driver onboarding and orientation paperwork
Maintain electronic and physical driver documentation
Coordinate and maintain MSHA training and compliance records
Schedule and track required safety training and certifications
Assist with workplace safety programs and incident reporting
Work alongside operations and safety personnel to ensure compliance standards are met
Maintain accurate records for audits, inspections, and reporting requirements
Work closely with management teams across all companies
Support office operations and assist with special projects as needed
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information
Assist with implementation of HR systems and organizational processes
Previous HR management or HR generalist experience preferred
Experience working with trucking, construction, aggregate, mining, agriculture, or heavy equipment industries strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and driver qualification requirements
Experience managing DOT drug and alcohol testing programs
Familiarity with MSHA compliance and training requirements
Experience handling truck driver onboarding and compliance paperwork
Knowledge of payroll systems, HR software, and Microsoft Office
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple companies and priorities simultaneously
Detail-oriented with excellent recordkeeping abilities
Professional problem-solving and leadership skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
