Schedule: 48 hours guaranteed weekly; every 3rd weekend rotation; two Mondays and Fridays per 4-week scheduling period

• 4:1 patient ratio with total patient care; 5:1 when working with a patient care tech
• Center of Excellence in Colorectal and Robotics; MBSAQIP certified in Bariatric surgery
• Meditech electronic medical record system with Pyxis medication dispensing
• High-paced, progressive surgical unit with focus on post-operative care excellence
• Collaborative team environment with unit secretaries and tech support

Requirements:

• Current RN license in Kansas (or ability to obtain)
• BLS certification required
• Medical-surgical nursing experience required
• Strong understanding of post-operative patient care
• Experience with surgical drains, wound management, ostomy care, and central line management preferred
• Proficiency with IV starts, blood administration, and nutritional supplementation including TPN
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and specialized equipment (Alaris IV/PCA pumps, wound vacs, capnostream machines)
