Make a meaningful impact in the life of a middle school student by stepping into a key support role as a Paraprofessional. This full-time contract position offers the chance to provide dedicated, one-on-one assistance to a male student aged 12-13, guiding academic, social, and behavioral growth within a supportive school environment.
Your role will focus on building trust, encouraging independence, and fostering a positive learning experience. Daily interactions will be dynamic and rewarding, as you help this student navigate challenges and celebrate successes. Collaboration with teachers, support staff, and families will be essential in shaping individualized strategies and supporting the student’s development.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working as a paraprofessional or in a school support capacity
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build rapport with students and maintain professional boundaries
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability in a classroom setting
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) is a plus
- Commitment to supporting students with diverse academic and behavioral needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support throughout the school day for a male student, age 12-13
- Assist with academic reinforcement, classroom participation, and transitions
- Implement strategies as directed by teachers and specialists
- Encourage positive behavior and reinforce classroom expectations
- Track progress and contribute to progress reports
- Collaborate regularly with educators and school staff to ensure a cohesive support plan
