Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Vice President of IR & Capital Formation to lead and expand our capital raising efforts. This role is critical to driving growth by cultivating and managing strong relationships with existing and prospective Limited Partners (LPs), institutional investors, and strategic partners. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in private equity fundraising, investor relations, and capital markets, with a proven track record of successfully scaling assets under management at growth-stage firms.

Key Responsibilities

• Capital Raising & Investor Relations: Lead all aspects of capital formation initiatives, including fundraising for new funds, co-investment vehicles, and separate accounts.
• LP Relationship Management: Build, nurture, and expand relationships with existing LPs, institutional investors, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, and high-net-worth individuals. Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for capital partners.
• Strategic Growth Initiatives: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute strategies for asset growth, market positioning, and investor engagement.
• Marketing & Communication: Oversee the preparation and delivery of compelling investor presentations, pitch materials, quarterly updates, and due diligence responses. Ensure clear and transparent communication of firm strategy, performance, and market outlook.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and investor sentiment to identify new fundraising opportunities and inform business strategy.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with investment teams, legal, compliance, and finance to coordinate fundraising efforts and ensure alignment on investor commitments, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Event Management: Plan and execute investor meetings, roadshows, conferences, and annual general meetings to strengthen investor engagement and enhance the firm’s brand.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in capital formation, investor relations, or private equity fundraising, preferably within a growth equity or middle-market firm managing $10B+ AUM.
• Demonstrated success in raising institutional capital and managing sophisticated LP relationships, including pension funds, endowments, sovereign wealth funds, and family offices.
• Strong understanding of private equity fund structures, regulatory environments, and capital markets dynamics.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust at the highest levels of investor organizations.
• Proven ability to develop and execute strategic fundraising plans in competitive markets.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree or CFA designation a plus.
• High integrity, professionalism, and discretion handling confidential investor information.
