IAM Engineering lead - Customer Identity and Access Management

Join TAL’s Technology team as an IAM Engineering Lead – Customer Identity and Access Management and help shape the secure digital experiences that support Australians when they need us most. In this role, you’ll contribute to TAL’s broader purpose by strengthening the identity foundations that enable customers, partners and teams to connect with confidence across our digital and cloud services. By bringing care, curiosity and continuous improvement to customer identity, you’ll help ensure our technology remains trusted, resilient and ready to support meaningful moments in our customers’ lives.

This role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne.

• Lead secure, scalable CIAM capabilities that protect TAL’s customers and digital ecosystem.
• Strengthen identity controls to reduce fraud, account takeover risk and governance gaps.
• Drive automation and modern engineering practices that improve reliability, efficiency and service quality.
• Embed secure, low-friction authentication journeys aligned to Zero Trust and customer needs.
• Partner across Technology, Security and Digital teams to deliver sustainable identity security outcomes.
• Develop engineering capability and foster accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Relevant degree or equivalent practical experience
• 7+ years’ IAM, CIAM or cyber security engineering experience
• Okta, Auth0 or comparable CIAM platform experience
• Modern identity security practices
• Automation, scripting and integration capability
• Leadership and collaboration across teams and stakeholders
