Senior Level Geologist

Overview

Converse Consultants is looking for a Senior Level Geologist that independently applies intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. Makes decisions independently on engineering problems and methods, and represents the organization in conference to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate work. The knowledge and expertise required for this level of work usually results from progressive experience.

Reporting Structure/Limits of Authority and Responsibility

Supervision and guidance relate largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts and policy matters. Consults with supervisor concerning problems and developments.

Typical Duties

• In a supervisory capacity, plans, develops, coordinates and directs a large and important engineering project or a number of small projects with many complex features.
• Perform technical engineering or inspection duties.
• Track projects budgets and schedules.
• Ascertain that all deliverables are submitted to the client on schedule and within budget.
• Maintain existing clients and develop new business.
• Hire, train and supervise subordinate personnel.
• Participates in the growth and development of Converse

Education/Registration Status/Professional Attainments

• Bachelor's Degree in Geology
• 3-5 years’ experience
• Registered as a Professional Geologist in the State of California
