Key Responsibilities\n

• Evaluate Client Needs: Conduct thorough assessments of clients to determine the severity and frequency of their mood disorder symptoms. Use standardized measures and clinical interviews to inform treatment planning.

• Develop Tailored Treatment Plans: Create individualized treatment plans that align with clients’ specific goals, preferences, and needs, ensuring a holistic approach to their mental health care.

• Implement Evidence-Based Interventions: Use therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to effectively treat clients. Adapt strategies based on the unique demands of each client encounter.

• Educate and Support Clients: Provide clients and their families with information about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care practices, empowering them to take active roles in their recovery.

• Monitor Progress: Regularly assess and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with Colleagues: Work alongside psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to facilitate integrated care, ensuring a comprehensive approach to mental health services.

• Advocate and Consult: Participate in case consultations and contribute to team meetings to discuss client cases and share insights, as well as advocate for the needs of clients facing mental health stigma.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work primarily with clients experiencing mood disorders, such as depression and bipolar disorder, as well as individuals dealing with anxiety. Our clinic serves a varied demographic, including homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse, making cultural competency and sensitivity essential in this role. Your work will help alleviate the suffering of these individuals and provide them with resources for recovery and stability.

Qualifications\n

• Current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

Compensation and Benefits\n
