Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract position will take place in a welcoming school environment near Lakeview, MI, with a start date of August 13, 2026, and end date of June 4, 2027.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Special Education or a related discipline
• Active Special Education licensure in Michigan
• Prior experience working with middle school students preferred
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Commitment to individualized instruction and student advocacy

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction tailored to the needs of 3-6 middle school students in a center-based classroom
• Develop and implement IEPs in accordance with Michigan state guidelines
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to support student progress
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student performance and compliance requirements
• Foster an inclusive, encouraging, and safe learning environment
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and required trainings
