Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in special education or a closely related field
• Current, active Michigan special education teaching license
• Experience working within high school special education settings preferred

• Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate with colleagues and support staff

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet student goals
• Provide direct instruction and differentiation aligned with students’ strengths and needs
• Track and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
• Partner with families, staff, and external specialists to ensure comprehensive support
• Maintain a safe, respectful classroom environment
• Participate in meetings, staff development, and ongoing professional learning
