divh2Accounting/Logistics Assistant/h2pNew York, New York, United States/pp$ 60,000.00 - 75,000.00 (US Dollar)/ppOur client, a chemical manufacturer, is seeking an Accounting and Logistics Assistant in New York./ph3Major Duties and Responsibilities:/h3pManaging accounting and logistics activities in the United States of America, including but not limited to:/pulliPrepare and verify daily reports/liliPrepare daily income/sales and prepare daily journal entry/liliPrepare daily deposits of sales receipts/liliReconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts/liliCommunicate with manager and others working on the accounting tasks/liliPrepare checks/liliCompile monthly reports/liliInvestigate and collect outstanding invoices/liliIssue invoices/liliInput AP expenses/liliPrepare and submit monthly payment lists to management for approval/liliProvide assistance to prepare financial statements/liliBank account reconciliation, manage AR and AP accounts/liliCreating invoices, inform payment status and cash collection in a timely manner/lili100% achievement on accuracy to reporting financial information/liliComplete accurate purchase orders to HQ office according to customer orders/liliNegotiate with HQ office to obtain best shipping schedules for customers/liliContact customers to confirm delivery date and address/liliRespond to delivery related inquiries and concerns from customers/liliForward the shipping documents to custom brokers and customers/liliCoordinate with the forwarding agent and provide accurate, up-to-date information to customers/liliNotify customers about any delivery delays in advance/liliEnter the daily PO transactions into our system/liliPrepare proper invoice for billing to our customers/liliMonitor consignment inventory carefully/liliIssuing purchase orders, send invoices and purchase orders, inform delivery status in a timely manner/liliUpgrade logistics systems by developing SAP or SAGE process manual detailing filing and shipment tracking methodologies, logistics presentation for sales people/liliProvide logistics updates to staff on a weekly or monthly basis/liliEnsure all customer support done correctly and on a timely basis/liliAccuracy, quality satisfaction/li/ulh3Skill Requirements:/h3pAccounting knowledge skills and abilities/ppGood verbal and written communication skills/ppExcellent attention to detail/self-learning skills/ppLogistics knowledge skills and abilities/ppAdaptability/continually seeking improvement/ppComputer literacy and the ability to use various specialist applications/ppGood analytical and creative problem solving skills/ppPeople person who is confident and has a positive personality/ppStrong organizational and time management skills are critical must adhere to deadlines, multi-task and be able to prioritize/ppAbility to work both independently, with minimum supervision, and in a team environment/ppAbility to learn quickly, manage workload in a cooperative and demanding environment/ppKnowledge and experience with Microsoft Office/ph3Office Policy:/h3pWorking hours:/ppGenerally, you will be expected to work 40 hours per week./ppThe regular office hours are from 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M., with unpaid one hour lunch time between 12:00 noon and 2:00 P.M., Monday through Friday./ppOthers:/ppSalary: based salary per calendar year; pay semi-monthly/ppFLSA Exempt Status: Non-Exempt position/ppIntroductory Period: 3 months/ppPerformance evaluation: annual basis at around the end of the year/ppBenefits: Medical, Dental, Vision and life Insurance; 401K Plan;/ppVacation days: 1-3 years: 10 days; 4-10 years: 15 days; over 10 years: 20 days./ppPersonal Sick days: 7 days/ppBusiness expense: reimburse reasonable travel expenses/ppConfidentiality: agree not to disclose our information to others/ppEmployment eligibility: legal resident/ppAt-Will Employment/p/div
