As an Unarmed Security Officer at a busy government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist visitors with professionalism. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.08 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Tue 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an airport location. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport facilities, public areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized entry attempts or unusual activity according to site procedures. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate airport personnel and/or emergency responders as needed. Prepare accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrols, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts. Minimum Requirements: Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred. Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred. Customer Service Experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
