PACU Registered Nurse – Nursing

Title: PACU Registered Nurse – Nursing

Schedule: Five 8-hour shifts (varying shifts) Typical shift examples: 12:00–20:30; some 12:00–20:00 or 13:00–21:00 No weekends, no call, no holidays

Requirements: Minimum 2 years of PACU experience (must be current and consistent within the last 12 months) Valid RN license in hand at the time of submission Certifications: ACLS required, BLS also noted Experience with Epic charting system required Clinical skills: Dysrhythmia recognition/management, Phase I PACU skills, acute care experience in specialty areas listed

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the PACU setting. Monitor and assess patients' recovery after surgery, identifying any potential complications. Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Educate patients and families about post-operative care and recovery expectations. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic medical record system. Collaborate with healthcare staff in developing and implementing patient care plans.

Compliance / Notes: Submission/fingerprint timeline: Candidate fingerprinting must be completed urgently; Tuesday prior to start is a hard deadline. RTO required with submission and must be built into contract. Vaccines: Flu required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required. Orientation: 40 hours.
