Integration Engineer (FHIR/API - Health Insurance)

Overview Razor is looking for an Integration Engineer with FHIR/API experience who designs, develops, and supports FHIR-based APIs for Eligibility, Prior Authorization, Bulk Data, and DocumentReference workflows within a health insurance interoperability ecosystem. Education & Certification Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field No certifications required; none preferred. 100% Remote 100% Remote Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy FHIR APIs Build and maintain API clients and integration interfaces Configure/manage API gateways Implement secure authentication: OAuth2, SMART on FHIR, mTLS Develop logging, monitoring, and error handling frameworks Support provider onboarding and certification Collaborate with product, compliance, and infrastructure teams Troubleshoot integration issues Contribute to API documentation and implementation guides Qualifications 3+ years API/system integration experience HL7 FHIR R4 experience RESTful API development in healthcare Strong understanding of OAuth2, OIDC, SMART on FHIR, mTLS Experience with API gateways (Apigee, Kong, AWS, etc.) Experience with JSON, XML, healthcare data standards Familiarity with CMS Interoperability & Prior Auth regulations Desired Skills Payer‑side interoperability experience Knowledge of X12 (270/271, 278) Experience with Bulk FHIR workflows Cloud‑native development (AWS/Azure/GCP) CI/CD and DevOps experience EEO Statement Razor is an EEO Employer Razor Consulting Solutions is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate based on race, religion, color, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, non‑disqualifying physical or mental disability, national origin, veteran status or any other basis covered by appropriate law.
