Bindery / Mailing Machine Operator
Location: Waukegan, IL
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Pay: $18.00–$23.00+ per hour, depending on experience and mechanical skill
Schedule Flexibility: Overtime and occasional Saturday work may be required during busy periods.

Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to join our team as a Bindery / Mailing Machine Operator. This is a hands-on position where you will be trained to operate and maintain several types of production and mailing equipment.
Duties and responsibilities
- Operate and learn multiple pieces of production, bindery, and mailing equipment.
- Set up machines according to job specifications.
- Load paper and other materials into equipment.
- Make basic machine adjustments and perform troubleshooting.
- Clear machine jams and replace or change machine parts as needed.
- Monitor equipment during production to ensure proper operation.
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Assist with other bindery, mailing, and production duties as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and company guidelines.
Qualifications
- Mechanically inclined with an interest in learning how machinery operates.
- Dependable and willing to work as part of a team.
- Comfortable working around production equipment.
- Ability to learn machine setup, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
- Previous experience with machinery, manufacturing, automotive, warehouse equipment, or similar equipment is a plus.
- Printing, bindery, or mailing experience is preferred but not required .
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when loading materials or changing machine parts.
- Willingness to work overtime and occasional Saturdays during busy periods.
