Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and assessments for individuals and families seeking therapeutic services.

• Engage in crisis intervention, providing immediate support and formulating effective treatment plans for clients in distress.

• Participate actively in case conferences and treatment planning sessions, sharing insights and collaborating with fellow therapists and social workers.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions and psychoeducational workshops, guiding participants through discussions that enhance understanding and coping strategies.

• Contribute to the ongoing development of care programs by coordinating with Reentry Social Workers for comprehensive discharge planning and support.
\n
• Document all therapy sessions accurately, ensuring compliance with state regulations while maintaining client confidentiality.
\n
• Supervise social work interns or student volunteers, providing mentorship and contributing to their professional development within the organization.
\n
• Collaborate with institutional programs to streamline patient care, overseeing the treatment disposition for a range of clients.

• Participate in weekly clinical supervision with the designated Clinical Supervisor to enhance clinical skills and address any challenges in practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on working with children and teenagers, addressing a multitude of issues such as anxiety, depression, and familial conflicts. Understanding the unique emotional and psychological needs of this demographic is essential. The therapist will also be involved in family therapy sessions, assisting families in building healthier communication and relationships.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health discipline is required.

• Must hold current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California, proving eligibility for independent practice.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $52,000 to $70,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
