Facilities Engineer

Abbott seeks a Facilities Engineer for its San Juan commercial office to manage maintenance projects, documentation, compliance, and health/safety initiatives. The role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and minimum four years of industry-specific experience, with preference for laboratory or facilities management background.

Responsibilities

• Develop resource projections and schedules for maintenance activities and track pending action items
• Maintain all required documentation and records for facilities maintenance and environmental health and safety
• Manage health and safety projects and identify external consultants or technical experts as needed
• Oversee third-party facility service vendors and monitor their performance and compliance
• Review facilities contracts, assess vendor qualifications, and plan emergency preparedness

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Minimum 4 years of industry-specific facilities experience
• Minimum 2 years in Facilities Coordinator or Supervisor role
• Knowledge of office maintenance operations and safety best practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Compensation: $54,300–$109,000 base
