Senior Accountant

Overview LHH is partnering with a growing organization in Vista, CA to add a Senior Accountant to their team. This individual will play a key role in the close process, financial reporting, and ongoing process improvements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, takes initiative, and enjoys working both independently and cross-functionally. Responsibilities Oversee and participate in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances or discrepancies Analyze financial data and provide insights into trends and fluctuations Assist with the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP Partner with internal departments to ensure accurate coding and reporting of transactions Support budgeting and forecasting efforts by preparing and analyzing data Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies Assist with audit support and respond to external auditor inquiries Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance reporting Participate in system enhancements, implementations, or automation initiatives Provide support and guidance to junior accounting staff as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups Skills and Attributes Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving Focus on process improvement and operational efficiency Why This Opportunity Hybrid schedule offering flexibility (3 days onsite, 2 remote) Opportunity to contribute to process improvements and system enhancements Collaborative, team-oriented environment Growth potential within a stable and expanding organization Flexible Spending Accounts Tuition Reimbursement Vacation and Holiday Pay Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Military connected talent encouraged to apply To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: The California Fair Chance Act Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers #J-18808-Ljbffr LHH
