Viasat is looking for a Senior Corporate Accountant to support our explosive growth in which Viasat has evolved into a premier global satellite communications provider.

The Senior Corporate Accountant will be a key member of the General Ledger team by assisting in the overall month-end close process for the company. You will be responsible for managing various account balances, preparing month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance explanations, assessing the proper GAAP accounting treatment for significant transactions, and working on one-off projects. You will also interface with external and internal auditors and assist in preparation of certain audit schedules, SEC supporting schedules and/or internal management reports.

What You'll Need

• 3-5+ years of experience in an accounting role
• Completion of a bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or a related field
• Strong knowledge and understanding of GAAP
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word
• Strong written and oral communication skills that enables clear communications to all levels of management
• U.S. Citizenship is required for this position

Salary range $79,000.00 - $124,000.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $97,500.00- $146,500.00/ annually At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional cash or stock incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
