We are seeking a friendly, highly organized, detail-oriented & hardworking Accounts Payable Clerk to join our accounting team. You will be responsible for processing outgoing payments, verifying invoices & credits, and ensuring accurate financial record-keeping. Exemplify integrity & accountability with yourself, vendors and your Bart's Electric family. This builds respect & relationships remain strong and the company's financial operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Invoice Processing: Inspect, validate, and process incoming vendor invoices & credits ensuring all coding & amounts are correct and approved.
• PO Matching: Match invoices with purchase orders (POs) and receiving documents to ensure accuracy before payment.
• Reconciliation: Reconcile daily work, purchasing spreadsheet & monthly vendor statements to identify discrepancies and resolve any billing issues.
• Expense Reports: Reconcile reimbursements, receive approval and process employee expense reports weekly with company guidelines.
• Payment Execution: Schedule and process payments made via check or ACH. Monitor special vendor terms & discounts.
• Data Maintenance: Maintain organized, up-to-date vendor databases and historical records, adhering to data privacy and compliance standards.
• Reporting: Assist with month-end and year-end closing and generate accounts payable reports as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience: accounting experience but not required.
• Software: Microsoft Excel skills.
• Accuracy: Highly detail oriented, accuracy, and ability to spot errors.
• Communication: Great written and verbal communication skills for managing vendor questions and team needs.
• Time Management: Strong ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
