Position Overview :
Direct Counsel is representing a respected law firm in Los Angeles seeking an experienced Litigation Associate with at least 4 years of broad-based litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have strong research, analytical, and drafting skills, along with experience in all aspects of litigation, including motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.

Responsibilities :

• Handling a diverse caseload involving commercial litigation, including matters related to breach of contract, tortious interference with contract, and breach of fiduciary duty.

• Arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, and preparing cases for trial.

• Collaborating with senior attorneys and clients to develop and execute effective litigation strategies.

• Managing all stages of litigation, from pre-trial discovery through to trial and appeal.

• Working on intellectual property-related litigation is a plus.

Qualifications :

• At least 4 years of broad-based litigation experience.

• Strong experience in commercial litigation, including breach of contract, tortious interference with contract, and breach of fiduciary duty.

• Experience in intellectual property litigation is desirable.

• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.

• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

• Admission to the California Bar.

• A strong academic record is required.

Compensation :
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $250,000 to $275,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. Associates who meet the firm’s performance standards (including billing at least 1,900 hours) can expect total compensation (base salary plus a discretionary bonus) ranging from $385,000 to $425,000. The discretionary bonus may increase based on hours billed and collected in excess of 1,900 hours. Additionally, the firm provides an extra bonus for work originated by associates.
