Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients’ mood disorder symptoms, utilizing standardized assessment tools.

• Collaborate with clients to design and implement tailored treatment plans reflecting their unique goals and preferences, ensuring alignment with evidence-based practices.

• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to conduct effective individual and group therapy sessions.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care strategies to enhance their understanding and engagement in the process.

• Monitor client progress diligently, adjusting treatment plans as needed based on ongoing assessments and feedback.

• Work in tandem with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care, enhancing treatment efficacy through collaborative approaches.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to continually refine therapeutic strategies and improve patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LMFT, you will primarily work with individuals experiencing a range of mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will also engage with underserved populations, such as homeless individuals, refugees, and domestic violence survivors—providing them with the empathy, understanding, and professional support necessary to navigate their unique challenges.

Qualifications\n

• Current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) .

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.
