Provider Services Coordinator

Job Description Organizational Description The Community Health Center Network (CHCN), sister organization to the Alameda Health Consortium, is made up of the eight federally qualified community health centers in Alameda County. CHCN functions as the managed care MSO for our health centers, contracting with the Alameda Alliance for Health. In order to help our health centers meet their missions of providing the best possible care to their communities, we also provide a broad range of training, technical assistance, quality improvement, information technology, and data analytic services. Position Title: Provider Services Coordinator Department: Provider Services Reports To: Provider Services Manager Classification: Non-Exempt Status: Full-Time - (Temporary for Six Months)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Provider Services Coordinator provides support across the following areas: communications, database management, inter-departmental collaboration, managed care operations, provider relations, and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate is well-organized, flexible, and works well in a team setting.

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESULTS

Manage incoming email communications across internal departments and external providers. Assist in drafting and updating written communication for providers and staff including: CHCN Provider Manual & Orientation packet, notifications/memorandums, and newsletters as appropriate. Update provider database with information received from claims, prior authorization data, internal reports, and tax documents (W-9). Query providers in internal database to ensure appropriate claims adjudication and reimbursement. Assist with departmental needs as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Competencies Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Essential Requirements Ability to organize data and strong writing and interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to perform tasks involving independent judgment; prioritize multiple projects and manage deadlines; improve systems and increase system efficiencies Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and work cooperatively with other agency personnel, as well as diverse social and economic communities Detail oriented, organized and self-directed person with the desire to learn

CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES

Bachelor degree or its equivalent and/or combination of education and experience required
