Human Resources Assistant

*Overview:*
The *Human Resources Coordinator* will support the human resources function and overall business by doing special projects and assisting with general administration regarding benefits, training and development, legal compliance, and other human resource-related topics.
*Essential Duties & Responsibilities:*

* Provide administrative support to the function and independent HR projects as assigned
* Ensure the effective utilization of plans related to HR programs and services
* First line of support for employee requests and questions
* Manage the coordination of onboarding and new hire orientation
* Generate reports, including headcount and long service, and understand the impact of what you are reporting to ensure data accuracy
* Maintain HR records and performance management systems in real-time and with accuracy
*Requirements:*

* Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or Business
* Prior internship experience in human resources or business preferred
* Ability to create and manage detailed excel worksheets
* Ability to work on multiple projects
* Creative problem solver
* Self-motivated with a bias for action
* Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Must have exceptional oral, written, and interactive communication skills
* Skilled in effective research tactics and time management
* Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality
* Ability to project a positive and professional image to internal and external customer

This is a Contract position based out of Simsbury, CT.
*Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $31.00/hr.
