Operations Supervisor The Operations Supervisor directs warehouse and distribution associate work, ensuring safety, quality, and cost-effective operations. The role manages scheduling, inventory, outbound shipping accuracy, process improvement, safety program participation, and employee coaching. Responsibilities Determine work volume, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow to maximize cost effectiveness within the department. Assign duties and examine work for quality, neatness, and conformity to policies and procedures. Schedule job assignments for periodic and special inventories. Monitor, direct, and, when necessary, perform accurate shipping of outbound orders. Issue written and oral instructions to associates as needed. Ensure associate accountability in accordance with corporate standard operating procedures. Maintain harmony among associates and resolve grievances. Manage employee time, including edits and corrections. Mentor and coach associates, including corrective actions and performance evaluations. Oversee zoning and product database development during the receiving process. Perform training on policies, procedures, and Standard Works to ensure processes are followed. Assist the Safety Advocate with all aspects of the Safety Program and participate on the Safety Committee. Assist in the development of processes and process improvements. Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the General Manager. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four‑year college or equivalent education, training, and/or experience. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in warehousing, distribution, or a related field. Minimum of six (6) months supervisory experience. Proficient PC and computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Strategic Agility – Balances daily tasks with strategic actions that impact long‑term viability. Travel Requirements Approximately 25% or less of the position’s travel. A passport is not required but recommended.
