Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments to comprehensively evaluate each patient's condition and functional abilities.
• Design and implement individualized treatment programs that incorporate the latest evidence-based practices and promote measurable progress.
• Administer a variety of therapeutic modalities, manual techniques, and exercise regimens while monitoring patient progress toward recovery goals.
• Educate patients on self-care practices, injury prevention, and post-treatment rehabilitation exercises to empower them in their recovery.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, such as physicians and specialists, to ensure continuity of care and optimize patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily focus on treating orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgery or injury related to their bones, joints, and connective tissues. We see an average of 6–7 patients per day, allowing for personalized attention and tailored treatment plans to cater to individual needs. This focused caseload enables you to build meaningful relationships with patients, facilitating a trusting therapeutic alliance that is essential for effective rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• A current and valid New York State Physical Therapist license.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field. While a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) degree is preferred, it is not mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred, providing you with the skills necessary to adapt treatment based on varying patient needs.
• Experience with manual therapy techniques and various therapeutic modalities.

Compensation and Benefits
